Flying to London tonight for his medical – Fabrizio Romano confirms player to complete his Chelsea move this week
The transfer of 19-year-old midfielder Cesare Casadei from Italian club Inter Milan has been agreed upon by Chelsea.
However, Casadei will undergo his medical today, and the transaction is anticipated to be finalized this week.
The sum of €15 million, which may increase to €20 million, is the price to acquire Casadei from Inter Milan.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted about the deal: “Cesare Casadei will fly to London on Wednesday night as main part of medical tests has been booked. Deal completed for €15m plus €5m add-ons, Chelsea will unveil Casadei as new signing soon.

Inter Milan legend Walter Zenga has questioned Inter’s decision to sell Cesare Casadei to Chelsea.
Zenga said, “Inter sold Pinamonti and Casadei and pocketed €35 million.
“But if Casadei is so good, the question arises – if Casadei is good enough to end up at Chelsea why couldn’t he play here?
“You wonder why they see players abroad and invest in them like this. The problem comes down to income and expenses.”
