Chelsea face €150m demand to land Serie A striker – Report
According to latest reports, Rafael Leao is reportedly a target for Chelsea to acquire from AC Milan.
According to reports, Chelsea has talked to the Portuguese about a transfer since they are interested in acquiring a new striker.
Leao’s £126 million release clause may have to be used by Chelsea, contrary to some reports that state they must pay £70 million for him.
According to Italian sports daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport AC Milan will demand £126.1m for the 23-year-old.
That staggering fee is in part because Leao owes his former club Sporting Lisbon £13.85m after terminating his own contract.
Leao has been sanctioned to pay €16.5M to Sporting CP for his tumultuous exit back in 2018, and that would be a factor in the negotiation with Chelsea, after slowing down the extension talks with Milan.
Leao bagged 11 goals in Serie A last season as the Rossoneri, but it’s yet to be seen if Chelsea would want to go on with his complicated and expensive transfer.
The 23-year-old was voted as Serie A’s Player of the Season last campaign as helped AC Milan to the Serie A title.
