“I swear to God, Chelsea can absolutely cook some teams with him” – Ian Wright begs Lampard to use Chelsea flop
According to latest reports, Former Arsenal star Ian Wright has sent an advice to Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard bothering on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
However, Wright urged Lampard to recall Aubameyang, who has failed to impress since joining the Blues from Spanish club Barcelona.
It is no longer news that Chelsea players are struggling to find the back of the net, which have seen them drop to the 11th spot in the Premier League.
With just eight more games after their recent defeat to Wolves, their chances of playing in the Champions League next season solely lie on their ability to at least beat Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the competition on Wednesday.
Wright has called on Lampard to recall Aubameyang, who was omitted from the Champions League squad by former manager Graham Potter.
“The last time Lampard was at Chelsea, I remember him liking Aubameyang,” Wright said.
“He will score the chances Chelsea are creating right now.
“If Chelsea start Aubameyang up front with Sterling or Mudryk or Felix – they’ve got so much to choose from – I swear to God, Chelsea can absolutely cook some teams.”
