Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has already told team owners that he wants his first signing to be when the transfer ban ends.
Chelsea have been unable to register any new players this summer after being handed with a two-window transfer ban.
FIFA have prevented the West London club from registering new players as the Blues have managed to sign only Mateo Kovacic who has also spent last campaign at Stamford Bridge.
And new head-coach Frank Lampard has had to make do with the team that was already there and the USA international forward Christan Pulisic – who was signed before the ban was enforced.
However, there are areas of the side that the Blues legend would like to strengthen with some marquee signings expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge after the end of the transfer ban.
The latest the west London club will be able to secure the services of the players again in the next summer, though the club may appeal the punishment ahead of the transfer window in January.
Either way, Frank Lampard has identified one spot that needs improving at the West London club.
The Sun reports Chelsea will try to lure Ben Chilwell who has been valued at £70m by Leicester City.
The 22-year-old full-back has had an excellent few seasons coming up through the Foxes academy and establishing himself as one of the key players in the last two campaigns.
