Olivier Giroud has asked his agent to find a new club in January, Calciomercato claims.
The French striker who had not been pleased with the amount of game time received his chance in the Premier League fixture against West Ham.
It’s understood that he failed to impress Frank Lampard which is why the 33-year-old’s transfer in January seems even more likely.
Giroud wants to play regularly to retain his place in the France squad for the European Championship in the next summer. It seems as if there won’t be a shortage of offers from clubs looking for an experienced No.9.
The Italian media outlet names two Serie A clubs among those who have been offered to sign Giroud. However, neither Inter nor AC Milan are rumoured to have Olivier at the top of their shortlist.
Earlier, Crystal Palace, Everton, Olympique Lyon and Borussia Dortmund have all been mentioned as potential suitors for the Chelsea striker.
Giroud has only featured in 7 games across all competitions this season so far, scoring once in the UEFA Super Cup battle against Liverpool. He has openly expressed his frustration, but as his teammates point out, his conduct at the training sessions has been nothing but professional.
