“A Championship player” “Not Chelsea standard” – Frank Lampard tells Chelsea to sell Chelsea star after FA Cup defeat to Manchester city

Nicolas Jackson, a striker for Chelsea, was not up to par, according to former Chelsea midfielder and coach Super Frank Lampard, following his performance in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final loss to Manchester City.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team will be left questioning their heads as they missed multiple opportunities to grab the lead against City at Wembley, ultimately failing to qualify for next month’s final.

Speaking candidly during the interview, Lampard demands change and publicly criticizes Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson had three fantastic opportunities, including two one-on-ones, but he never seemed to be at ease. He made the incorrect choice and executed some really ingenious runs.

‘They’re absolute sitters, they really are. He just never moved the ball out of his feet, three great chances for him.’

Lampard, meanwhile, had sympathy for Jackson but feels the 22-year-old did not perform at the level Chelsea need for their leading striker

‘I feel for him a little bit because he made lots of good movement, he’s a young striker, the attributes we saw in him today where he’s racing Kyle Walker, he’s shown pace, he’s shown good movement but there’s a technical detail there, the extra touch, the decision making at the highest level in these highest level of games are the difference,’ Lampard said.

However, when Chelsea plays Arsenal in the Premier League Fixture on Tuesday night, Mauricio Pochettino’s team will have an opportunity to turn things around with a victory.

However, it will undoubtedly be a difficult game to recover from—possibly especially for one Chelsea player.
