Abraham sets ambitious Chelsea targets for next 15 years: ‘I want to create a legacy and be the best 9 at Chelsea’

Tammy Abraham has confessed that Frank Lampard offered him to wear a No.9 shirt in their first conversation at Chelsea. Naturally, it was a dream come true for Tammy who wants to build a real legacy at the club he grew up at.

“Our first proper conversation was him asking if I wanted the number nine shirt,” Abraham said to the club’s official website.

“He told me to think about it and not to rush the decision but I had already made my mind up on the spot!

“I heard a lot of things about the cursed number nine shirt at Chelsea but I was willing to take that upon myself and change it.

It’s a dream come true for me and in the next 15 years I want to create a legacy so I can sit back when I retire and know I made myself proud as Chelsea’s number nine.”

Lampard hopes Abraham will be able to feature vs Aston Villa:

So far, Abraham scored 10 goals in 13 Premier League games under Lampard which is more than either Alvaro Morata or Gonzalo Higuain scored in 2018/19 while wearing the No.9 shirt.
