According to Daily Star, Chelsea are ready to break the bank to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who has impressed while on loan at Sheffield United.

Chelsea are prepared to splash out £50 million for Henderson, who is yet to start a game for Manchester United, and the report also claims Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will offer the goalkeeper a guaranteed place in the starting XI.

Manchester United are aware of Chelsea’s interest in the goalkeeper and are preparing to offer him a new contract worth £100,000 weekly to reject Chelsea’s advances.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has revealed he wants Henderson on loan again next season.

“I’ve left it with Dean and Man United,” he said.

“We’ve expressed an interest in bringing Dean back but I don’t want to keep pushing that button.

“I’m sure conversations between Dean, United, and his representatives have been ongoing.”
