According to Eurosport via Daily Mail, Chelsea’s bid to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge is being personally led by owner Roman Abramovich.
The report claims Abramovich believes signing Lukaku would take Chelsea to the next level after failing to challenge for the title this season.
However, reports also claims Roman wants Chelsea to win the Premier league next season and believes adding Lukaku to the squad can boost the Blues chance to win the Premier league next season.
Lukaku scored 30 goals in all competitions this season to help Inter Milan claim their first Scudetto in nine years.
Lukaku is ‘loving’ life at Inter but would be willing to depart given the club’s financial difficulties, Eurosport claims, and is keen on a Premier League return.
