‘Absolutely loving them’ – John Terry reveals why Chelsea duo are currently the best in the world
The Chelsea defence has been very solid this season, even though Chelsea may be trailing Premier League leaders Manchester City by 15 points.
However, Chelsea legend John Terry has admitted that he has been impressed with Chelsea defensive duo of Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva.
Terry revealed his admiration for defensive pair Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva during an Instagram Q&A.
Chelsea have the second best defence in the league this season, as the Blues have conceded 18 goals from 25 league matches so far. Only Manchester City have a better record, with 17 goals conceded so far.
John Terry himself formed a legendary partnership with centre-back Ricardo Carvalho during his playing days, and he’s now wishing he also played alongside veteran centre-back Thiago Silva who’s still performing well at age 37.
The former Chelsea captain said about Silva on Instagram: “Absolutely love him.”
“To be playing so well at his age in the best league is unbelievable.
“Just wish I could have played alongside him.
“He does everything so well without taking any risk and keeping things simple.”
