After Pulisic, Chelsea hoping to sign £36m-rated forward – not Nabil Fekir

Chelsea are set to make a move for highly-rated PSV Eindhoven forward Hirving Lozano. The Mexico international shot to limelight with his impressive performances at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Lozano has been linked with the Blues all season and it is believed that they are set to table a bid of around £36million.

The 23-year-old has continued his good form this season and has netted 10 times this season, helping PSV stay top of the Eredivisie.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea have lined up the forward as the solution to their attacking woes. Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has made public his desire for a new forward to provide added impetus to the attack.

Current options, Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have failed to make a considerable impact this season. Both strikers have contributed a paltry 6 goals in total which has seen the Blues drop off in recent games.

Lozano is in hot demand, and it is believed that AC Milan and Napoli are also interested in signing the forward. Lozano is known for his pace, finishing ability and he is capable of playing in all forward positions.

Chelsea have shown their ambition in the January transfer window with the purchase of Christian Pulisic from German side Borussia Dortmund.
