Agent Cech at ‘work again’ as he’s ready to help Chelsea sign €55m Man Utd transfer target
According to Le Parisien’s Julien Laurens via Metro UK, Chelsea legend Petr Cech is driving Chelsea’s push to sign Eduardo Camavinga ahead of Manchester United.
The 18 year old Rennes midfielder has just one year left on his contract and wants to leave the French club this summer.
The 18-year-old is one of the most highly rated young midfielders in Europe and has attracted interest from several clubs including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.
Reports in France claimed last month that Manchester United have made a move for the midfielder by approaching his agent Jonathan Barnett.
However, Chelsea have also entered the race for the Rennes midfielder and reports this week have claimed that the Champions League holders have also been in touch with the player’s representative.
The report on Metro claim Chelsea legend Cech is a huge fan of the midfielder and still has a strong relationship with Rennes’ hierarchy.
Cech played a key role in the signing of Edouard Mendy from Rennes last year and is hoping to use his connections again to help Chelsea sign Camavinga this summer.
