Agreement reached! As Graham Potter finally set to make first signing as Chelsea boss

Finally, Graham Potter is set to make his first signing as Chelsea manager with the Blues closing in on a deal for Molde striker David Datro Fofana.

Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea boss in September after the summer transfer window closed and is now set to make his first signing ahead of the January transfer window.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via Metro, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Molde for the transfer of Fofana for €10million.

Personal terms are yet to be agreed with the 19-year-old but negotiations are expected to be a formality.

Ivory Coast international Fofana has scored 21 goals and registered seven assists for Molde this season and will arrive next month to help boost Potter’s options in attack.

However, Chelsea star Armando Broja has reacted after suffering a knee injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.

Broja said: “I’m devastated to be ending 2022 in this way.

“It’s been difficult to process everything over the past few days, but I am determined to come back even stronger and better than before.

“Everyone has there own journey to the top, this is just a minor setback for the good things to come in the future.

“Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support. It means a lot. I appreciate them all. I will be back soon.”
