‘Always dangerous, fast, and a good finishing player’. – Manchester City star reveals why he loves Chelsea star play

Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku has explained he’s a huge fan of Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling after watching him for many years.

Jeremy Doku, who’s just 21, became Man City’s latest star this week by joining from Rennes in a £55million (Daily Mail) transfer.

The Belgian winger will now look to follow in the footsteps of some fantastic wide players that have succeeded at the Etihad Stadium in recent years.

Raheem Sterling, 28, was a key figure in Man City colours before moving to Chelsea a year ago.

Doku has delivered a glowing verdict on Chelsea’s Sterling when looking back at his time in Manchester.

In particular, he noted the England international is a serious goalscoring threat.

“Raheem, I really liked him, I watched a lot of games when he was in City,” Doku told Manchester City’s official YouTube channel.

“Always dangerous on the wing, fast, can dribble, also good finishing, even sometimes when he missed a chance, it happens, but I really think he has good finishing.

“There’s a type of player that I saw progressing under Pep [Guardiola], he changed the way of playing and that’s what Vincent [Kompany] and [Samir] Nasri told me that look at Sterling, the goals that he scores now, a lot of tap-ins. Before he didn’t do it and I think it’s Pep that added that to his game.”

Sterling’s performance this week in Chelsea’s win against Luton was reminiscent of the kind of contributions he regularly put in for Man City.

The speedy forward scored two fabulous goals and created an assist in the 3-0 victory against Luton.
