Another ‘HUGE’ blow for Lampard as Chelsea star gets injured ahead of West Ham clash
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has received a major blow in Chelsea’s preparation for Monday’s Premier League game against West Ham.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea right-back Reece James is a major doubt for the game against West Ham after he went for a scan on a knee injury on Saturday.
The Athletic revealed James has struggled with the knee injury in recent games for the Blues. He played with the injury in the 1-0 defeat to Everton but aggravated the injury against Wolves following a strong challenge from Wolves winger Daniel Podence.
It isn’t known how long James will be out as Chelsea await the result of the test but the report claims there’s a possibility James could still play against West Ham and the injury carefully managed for the time being.
The possibility of needing an operation has also been mentioned too and that will mean the England international will miss games for the Blues.
