Chelsea’s former manager will allegedly replace Julen Lopetegui as Los Blancos are currently struggling in La Liga
The rumours have emerged after Madrid’s huge 5-1 loss to Barcelona in El Clasico
The Italian left The Blues last summer after failing to qualify for the Champions League
According to one of the Spanish top sources Onda Cero, The Blues’ ex-manager Antonio Conte will replace Julen Lopetegui as the head coach of Real Madrid soon.
Los Blancos’ interest in the Italian has emerged in Septemeber after the club’s unsatisfactory results both in La Liga and in the Champions League.
One of the main reasons for Lopetegui’s dismissal may become the huge defeat in recent El Clasico.
Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea’s former goalkeeper who left the club in late August conceded five goals and didn’t help his team to get at least a draw. Real Madrid are currently 9th in La Liga and can’t win in their last five matches.
Antonio Conte left Stamford Bridge last summer after two years at the club. He won the Premier League in 2017 and the FA Cup in the 2017/18 season.
