Antonio Rudiger planned to return vs Wolves
In the Daily Mail on Tuesday, it’s revealed that German international defender Antonio Rudiger had planned to return to action against Wolves.

Wolves host Chelsea at Molineux in the Premier League on September 14.

Rudiger is currently recovering from a knee operation earlier in the year.

He’s now back in training at Cobham.

However, according to reporter Sami Mokbel, Rudiger could be action before the match at Wolves:

Chelsea will consider bringing forward Antonio Rudiger’s planned return from a serious knee injury following Sunday’s opening day capitulation at Manchester United.

The Blues boss is understandably eager to have his key man available as soon as possible as he looks to add solidity to he defence.

To be clear, the Mail fail to detail when Rudiger could actually return to the pitch.

At the same time, some Chelsea fans may be concerned by this update, fearing that Rudiger may be rushed back into the team before he’s fully fit.
