Arsenal free to wrap up £40 million deal after Blues star makes big transfer decision!

Fresh reports have again claimed that Arsenal are interested in Tammy Abraham with Chelsea looking to move him on this summer

Abraham is one of the most talented young strikers in the Premier League, and before the arrival of Timo Werner last summer, was tipped to be the main man at the Bridge for the next few years.

However, The England international has fallen down the pecking order in West London since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as manager, and he is now reportedly seeking a summer exit in order to get the game time that he feels he deserves

There has been many links to a number of clubs in the Premier League, but his £40 million asking price leaves the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham the leading contenders to get a deal done.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta saw his current crops of strikers fail to impress on a weekly basis last season and is eager to improve that front-line ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.

And now, according to reports on the Goal website, the Gunners will be looking to step up their chase of Abraham and try to get a deal done knowing that Chelsea are seeking to sell a number of players in order to raise some funds

Former Tottenham midfielder Jermain Jenas recently insisted that the 23 year-old would be a ‘great signing for anyone’, even Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side.

“I think he’d be a great signing for anyone,” Jenas told MirrorFootball. “He had that special relationship with Aston Villa fans in the Championship but they’ve now got Ollie Watkins.

“I would like to think that Tammy could maybe go on a loan. I don’t think it’s the time for Chelsea to be completely cutting ties.

“You’ve got Watford, who have just come up. Brighton are desperate for someone to get them goals. Southampton is another team you look at and wonder if he could do a job.

“He could even go to Arsenal, if Chelsea let him. Mikel Arteta is insistent on playing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang off the left. He’s not going to go to Tottenham if Harry Kane is still there. West Ham?

“He’s a suitable player for a number of teams and I think a lot will be looking at his services.”
