Tiemoue Bakayoko looks set to return to Chelsea this summer, Calciomercato understands following the midfielder’s Instagram post.
The Frenchman seems to be bidding farewell to the AC Milan’s fans who may have seen the last of him in the red-and-black shirt.
Though the Italian club were initially keen on buying Bakayoko out, the relationship between them has eventually turned sour.
The main issue was discipline issues, as the Rossoneri fined Bakayoko €90,000 not so long ago for being late to the training sessions.
Before that, he was also fined for improper behaviour for his gesture towards Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi. Even earlier, the 24-year-old refused to come on as a sub in the recent Serie A game vs Bologna and told manager Genaro Gattuso to ”f*** off’.
Besides, Milan have failed to qualify for the Champions League finishing fifth in Serie A. So, it is only logical that Bakayoko’s time at Milan has come to an end.
“Despite yesterday’s win we couldn’t reach a Champions League spot,” wrote the Frenchman in his Instagram post. “This big disappointment doesn’t cancel everything and I want to thank you.
“Thank for your support which was nice and sincere even if the beginning of our relationship was complicated. Thanks for your love when I went through the most complicated moments of this season.
“Thank for your support on social media and for making San Siro a unique stadium. These memories will forever be with me. See you soon. Forza Milan.”
The funniest thing will be Bakayoko’s move to the Rossoneri’s neighbours and rivals at Inter which has been predicted by the Sun. The loan deal will likely take place if Antonio Conte who’s worked with Tiemoue at Chelsea is put at charge at this club.
