Deal on: Chelsea ready to make Lampard as the next Chelsea manager

FRANK LAMPARD “100 per cent” has what it takes to manage Chelsea, claims Sky Sports pundit Liam Rosenior.

Maurizio Sarri had a great start to life as boss of the Blues, but over the last few months he has seen performance levels drop and many of his decisions ripped by many pundits and media outlets.

And despite the fact that he managed to get Chelsea back inside the top three spots in the Premier League and also reach two finals, with the Blues firm favourites to win the Europa league at the end of the month, there is much talk that Chelsea will look to axe the Italian if he fails to achieve a trophy this season.

And that has led to speculation that Lampard could make a sensational return to Chelsea as boss at some point this summer window, after impressing at Derby this season with his tactics, man management and results with the Rams.

The bookies have made Lampard – who has guided Derby to the play-off final – the odds-on favourite to replace him.

And Rosenior believes Lampard has shown this season he has the capabilities to manage his former club.

And he reckons he could be the Blues’ equivalent of the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.

“We’ve seen [Mauricio] Pochettino, young manager, Guardiola, young manager, Klopp started his career when he was young,” Rosenior said on the Daily Express
