The Blues are currently in the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich.
Bayern have got the option to sign Coutinho permanently at the end of his loan spell but have decided not to take it up the option.
While Chelsea are keen on signing Coutinho, the Blues are not willing to meet Barcelona’s asking price for the 27 year old.
According to Daily Mail, Barcelona are set to loan out Philippe Coutinho for a second season after failing to find a club willing to pay their £72million asking price.
Barcelona’s decision on Coutinho will interest Chelsea as the Blues want to take a closer look at the Brazilian before deciding whether to sign him permanently.
