Barcelona are reportedly looking to offload out-of-favour forward Philippe Coutinho to Chelsea in a swap deal for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Spaniard, who became the world’s most expensive keeper when he joined the West London club from Athletic Bilbao, has struggled for consistency this campaign.

The Spaniard had only just regained his place in the starting XI prior to the coronavirus outbreak, and his future at Stamford Bridge still has been up in the air with the Blues allegedly considering alternatives to the 25-year-old star.

According to reports in Spain, La Liga giants Barcelona are planning for the potential departure of their key player Marc-Andre ter Stegen and are believed to be looking at Kepa as his perfect replacement.

The German keeper has yet to sign a contract extension with the Catalan club and has been rumoured with a switch to Manchester United.

The report also claims that the Catalan giants could use the Blues supposed interest in Brazilian playmaker, Coutinho to their advantage, with the South American playmaker having been rumoured with a move back to the Premier League in recent weeks.

Coutinho has spent this campaign on loan at Bayern Munich, founding back of the net eight times and provided six assists in Germany’s top flight throughout the 2019-20 season.
