Better than Mason Mount as Chelsea set to sign Brazilian attacker
Chelsea are looking at a £25million deal for Flamengo’s highly rated attacking midfielder Matheus Franca.
This is according to Daily Mail.
The Brazil U20 midfielder has caught the eye of a number of European clubs after a breakout season with Flamengo. He was a target for Newcastle back in January window
Franca started his career in the Flamengo academy and went on to make his first team debut in 2021.
Back in January there was a hands-off warning issued by Flamengo to Franca’s suitors, but that could soften this summer for the right price.
In January, Newcastle saw a £13.5million offer to Flamengo for the Brazil U20 forward rejected.
According to Whoscored, Franca likes to dribble, likes to tackle, has a good defensive contribution, is a good passer of the ball and is also a good finisher.
