Big Chelsea news from Germany – Powerful striker in talks over summer move–

Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana could be moving to Union Berlin on loan without an option to buy, according to Sky Germany.

CHELSEA were desperate to sign a striker last January and made the decision to splash the cash and bring Fofana to the club in a deal that cost the club some serious transfer money.

He was really making a name for himself and scored a few goals for Molde before Chelsea come calling – so big things were expected of the lad when he actually joined.

However – Fofana has struggled for games and is yet to score for his new club, which has led to alot of speculation in the media that the Blues will now allow him to leave on loan.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

And Unlike the Blues, Union will play in the Champions League next season so are looking to add a striker that they believe will help them in the club competition.

And it has been claimed that Chelsea and Union are in talks over a deal for the powerhouse.

WILL DAVID FOFANA LEAVE THE CLUB?

Mauricio Pochettino is now at the club and looking at the players that he does not need, that are not ready to play and are done at the level he wants them to be, so there will be a few weeks before decisions are made.

Fofana is obviously a very talented young man that could go on and become a decent striker – but for CHELSEA – he is not the man that will lead the attack.

He needs to leave on loan or on a permanent basis for the sake of his career – sitting on the bench every week will not help his development.

And the fact Union are in the Champions league means that he would be playing at the highest level of the game – and Chelsea could see what he really has to offer the club
