Billionaires battle! As Manchester City ready to rival Chelsea with £130m bid

According to reports, Manchester City are now ready to rival Chelsea’s bid for the BVB striker.

Man City owner Khalifa Al Mubarak is willing to table a sensational £130m bid for the buzzing Norwegian, according to transfer reporter Ekrem Konur.

City are yet to replace the departed Sergio Aguero and are targeting Harry Kane and Erling Haaland for a likely deal.

With City now set to make their intent official, a bidding war between City and Chelsea over Haaland may ensue, with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich seemingly very keen on signing Haaland.

Meanwhile, Haaland’s compatriot Jan Aage Fjortoft has claimed that Chelsea are planning something big for Haaland and Dortmund ‘won’t say no’ if Chelsea were to make an offer of £150m.

Fjortoft wrote on Twitter: “Re: Haaland

“I understand Chelsea are preparing a “BIG offer” to check out and challenge Dortmund’s “he will stay here next season”.

“The understanding is that Dortmund won’t say no to 175 million euro.”
