Blues told as £100m player rejects club contract for the third time following latest development
According to latest reports, Chelsea and other top clubs have been put on alert after West Ham midfielder Declan Rice rejected a third contract offer from the Hammers.
However, The offer was worth £200,000 a week which would have made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history, but Rice opted against taking the deal.
Rice is keen on playing Champions League football next season and wants to compete at the highest level – something West Ham may not be able to offer him.
Rice has been at West Ham since 2014, after leaving Chelsea’s academy and his contract will expire in 2024.
Chelsea and Manchester United are the two top sides who have shown the most interest in Rice.
However, West Ham are ‘not under pressure to sell’ their star man as they have an option to extend his contract for another year.
