“Bossing every where” “Makes life difficult for us”  – Unai Emery names Chelsea man as an outstanding player in 2-2 draw against Aston Villa

Chelsea faced fourth-place Aston Villa at Villas Park and started the match with a 2-2 draw, despite having two goals disallowed for offside and foul play by Jackson and Disasi.

At Aston Villa, the blues overcame a two-goal deficit to secure a draw, but there was much more that could have been.

The Blues had the worst conceivable start when Marc Cucurella scored an own goal after four minutes. Chelsea had several opportunities and lots of possession, but Morgan Rogers of Villa scored the game’s second goal.

However, in the second half, Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher and Noni Madueke sealed the victory.

Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher, two Chelsea midfield players, have received high marks from Unai Emery for their play.

Unai Emery said after the match: “Moises Caicedo bossing the midfield makes life difficult for us we really get nod down in that midfield”

“Without Enzo, Conor Gallagher and Moises Caicedo’s midfield partnership looks pretty good. Caicedo performed admirably. It seems like his greatest game in forever. He played on the front foot and attacked well. At Villa Park, the Ecuadorian truly dazzled for the Blues.

Conor also performed incredibly well in the goal to recover possession of the ball and get an assist. And with less than ten minutes of normal time left, it took a special strike to tie the game.
