BREAKING: Chelsea breaks three years curse after beating Fulham at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 Premier League win against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues needed to get the victory after suffering a disappointing loss to Middlesbrough during Tuesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash.

Cole Palmer provided the goal for Chelsea too— stepping up to clinically put away a penalty after Raheem Sterling was fouled late in the first half to hand Chelsea the lead.

Fulham battled to get an equaliser very late in the second period, but Chelsea held on to see out the win, and take the maximum points at home.

The result not only takes Chelsea up to eight on the league table, it also ensures that the Blues have now picked up four wins on the bounce at Stamford Bridge.

This is the first time the West London club will manage the feat since the 2020-21 season when Thomas Tuchel was still at the helm of affairs.

Chelsea’s next league game will be against Liverpool on January 31, but before then, Chelsea have matches coming up with Middlesbrough and Aston Villa in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
