Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman has been out since suffering a leg break, but the 26-year-old has now resumed training.
Blackman is yet to make his debut for the senior team and has spent seasons out on loan at Wycombe Wanderers (then in League Two), Sheffield United (then in the Championship), and Leeds United.
He impressed at both Wycombe and Sheffield, winning the former’s Young Player of the Year award, even, but his time at Leeds was cut short by a broken leg suffered last November.
The academy product started training with the first team during the 2011-12 season, and was one of the several youngsters to travel with the team to Munich for the Champions League final later that season.
In the 2015/16 season when Thibaut Courtois was injured, Blackman served as backup to second choice goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
Chelsea Academy and Reserves goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon posted Jamal’s progress last week on social media with a couple training highlights from Cobham.
Welcome back blackman.
