However, Spanish publication MARCA have made a claim today that Chelsea winger Willian is close to agreeing a deal to join Barcelona this summer when his current contract runs out.
The Catalan club have been linked with Willian a number of times over recent years, and he was even touted for a late £20 million move there during January’s transfer window, but of course that didn’t transpire.
Chelsea have a new contract offer on the table for the Brazilian international, but it looks like a disagreement over the length, and Marca claim he is keen on a change of scenery at this late stage of his career.
Willian started on the bench for Frank Lampard today in his sides 2-2 draw against Leicester City in the Premier League, which of course sparked more rumours over a potential Stamford Bridge exit this summer.
