Chelsea have informed leading agents around the football world that they expect to be splashing the cash when the winter transfer window comes around, according to the Mirror.
The Blues are currently serving a two-window ban, which at the time of writing, would prohibit us from signing anyone this winter.
However, the Mirror’s belief is that Chelsea expect to be in the market this January, which suggests that we could be making progress with the courts.
As the report mentions, Manchester City were under investigation by UEFA for similar offences, but they received a fine, not a ban.
Chelsea are likely to use this as ammunition in their legal battle to overturn the ban and allow themselves to spend freely in the January transfer window.
We can quietly begin to consider who we may bring through the door in a few months time.
