The four players Frank Lampard and Chelsea should target in January if transfer ban is lifted

Chelsea will be hoping to be in the market for new signings in January.

As it stands the Blues will not be able to make any transfers again in January, as a result of the transfer embargo handed down by FIFA.

Chelsea were slapped with a two-window transfer ban earlier this year after breaking regulations over the signing of youth players.

They have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), but as yet there is no date for the hearing.

Chelsea are waiting for the appeal date to be set and CAS released their latest list of hearings on Friday, August 30, however once again Chelsea were not on it.

There is a hope within the club that the ban will be dropped to just one transfer window, meaning they would be able to sign players in January. And, according to the Mirror, the Blues have already contacted top football agents to make them aware of their January transfer window plans.

So, if they are given the opportunity to make new signings in the winter, who should Frank Lampard and the club target among those four players?

Thomas Meunier, Sergi Roberto, Ruben Dias, Wilfried Zaha
