The blues need to turn around a run of bad results to maintain their place in the Premier League’s top four.

However, the blues have lost four of their last five league games, which has seen them fall six points behind Manchester City, and are only three ahead of Tottenham and the chasing pack.

Chelsea next game is huge in that top-four race, travelling to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take on Jose Mourinho’s side.

December presents an important month for Frank Lampard’s men, with yet another London derby on the horizon, facing Arsenal before the end of 2019.

Ahead of the clash with Spurs, Lampard gave a positive injury update on his squad, confirming that midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is making good progress in training.

The England midfielder has been out since May with an Achilles injury, but appears to be nearing a return to first-team action. Having averaged the most dribbles in the squad outside of Eden Hazard last season (per WhoScored), perhaps the former Crystal Palace loanee can help provide a better link from midfield to attack, with no one this season bettering his aforementioned average of 3.6 per game.
