Carragher: ‘i’m Not Trying To Get Hazard Out Of Chelsea But Madrid Or Barcelona Will Come For Him’

Sky Sports pundit hails Eden Hazard’s top form after the Liverpool showing

However, as the Belgian has a contract expiring in the summer of 2020, it will be difficult to hold him at the club
Liverpool, United and Chelsea were all forced to let their best players go to Madrid or Barcelona at one time
Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher was very impressed with Eden Hazard’s performance in a yesterday’s win against Liverpool.

However, the pundit believes it will be increasingly difficult for Chelsea to keep the star Belgian at the club if he will progress at this rate.

Carragher insists Real Madrid or Barcelona will come calling, and they’re very hard to say no to, as Liverpool and Man United and Chelsea themselves lost Xabi Alonso, Luiz Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Thiebaut Courtois to them.

The pundit said, as cited by Daily Star:

“There’s definitely going to be a question asked in January or at the end of the season when he will only have 12 months left. Then you are into that Thibaut Courtois territory and he ended up going to Madrid.

“I’m not trying to get Hazard out of Chelsea, but when Madrid or Barcelona come for one of your players it’s so difficult to keep hold of them because it’s every player’s dream, certainly foreign players.

“Liverpool have had that with Xabi Alonso and Luis Suarez and even Cristiano Ronaldo left Man United. I think Chelsea will have a problem in the summer.”
