Cesar Azpilicueta believes that Chelsea FC have what it takes to challenge for all trophies this season under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
The west London side are currently getting used to life under new boss Sarri after his appointment as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge last month.
Chelsea FC have made a solid start to the new Premier League season and they won their third straight top flight game on Sunday when they claimed a 2-1 victory at Newcastle United.
The Blues are now level on points with early leaders Liverpool FC as they look to try and establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the title this season.
Chelsea FC will begin their Europa League campaign next month as they look to try and challenge for the main trophies this term.
And Azpilicueta says that the west London side are capable of challenging for all of the top honours under their new boss this season.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Azpilicueta said:
“We know how tough it is to even qualify even for the Champions League. Man City created a big gap with the other teams, and it’s up to us to fight for the title.
“Chelsea have our own pressure. We know we have won two of the last four Premier Leagues, and our standard is really high. We are in August, until May there is a big path to work, and we will see how far we can go.
“After the international break we will be playing every three days.
“It changes completely with Europe, with the cups, and we have to be ready.
“We have a good squad and we have been working really hard with the manager.
“We have the level to fight for everything.”
