“Cheaper and more experienced than them” – Former Chelsea star names two top midfielders Chelsea should have signed instead of £222m Chelsea duo

Chelsea splashed a combined £222m to sign up Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez in back to back Premier League record signings.

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has slammed the club’s transfer policy under Todd Boehly.

Leboeuf has said Chelsea should have rather signed up James Maddison and James Ward-Prowse, who moved for relatively cheaper fees to Tottenham and Southampton.

The former joined Spurs for £40million while the latter joined West Ham for £30m, and both have enjoyed impressive first seasons at their new clubs, recording 29 goal contributions between them so far.

“In the summer, Chelsea should’ve signed James Maddison and James Ward-Prowse, players that cost little money compared to what they spent but could’ve brought so much,” Leboeuf told Fastestpayoutonlinecasino.com.

“I don’t understand why the club would ignore them. Pochettino said this week as well that his players maybe didn’t have the maturity to play in a tight schedule and he’s speaking the truth.

“Spending money doesn’t mean spending crazy money again. Going back to Maddison and Ward-Prowse, they don’t cost a lot and they bring more experience.”

Do you think James Maddison and James Ward-Prowse would have been better signings than Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo?
