Chelsea and Tottenham ‘sent scouts to watch Roma central midfielder’ as both clubs eye move

According to Turin-based Tuttomercato, report claims that both Chelsea and Tottenham sent scouts to assess Amadou Diawara’s potential in the game against Juve last night.

The source says that the scouts from both clubs were in the stands of Stadio Olimpico to watch him in action against the reigning Serie A champions.

It is added that Spurs have been monitoring the 22-year-old for a few months.

It should be noted that the Guinean only joined Roma in the summer from Napoli and signed the contract until 2024.

Thus, Chelsea must be assessing options for the future.

Moreover, the Blues are well-stocked in the midfield department. So a January move for the central midfielder looks highly unlikely.

Do we really need such player at Chelsea?
