Chelsea announce signing as Pulisic set to leave Chelsea

It looks like Chelsea are about to complete one interesting incoming transfer – in two years. And one departure might perhaps also occur soon at Stamford Bridge. The Pride of London talk Christian Pulisic and Kendry Paez.

First of all, Pulisic. Where to start with the American star who arrived with so much darn promise. Blues supporters the world over – not just in the United States – expected a whole lot more from the former standout Borussia Dortmund man. I presumed he would eventually find his feet at Chelsea, but it appears that his chance to shine consistently at the Bridge is coming to an end.

This isn’t to say that ‘Captain America’ couldn’t succeed elsewhere in the English Premier League. Yet he may not be asked by another big six club or, say, a Newcastle United to join. Pulisic is ‘likely to leave this summer’, as you can read about here.

Chelsea Football Club announce agreement to sign Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle

The Blues have technically made their first signing of summer 2023. However, the starlet won’t arrive for a couple more seasons – Yes, your eyes didn’t deceive you, I typed the statement correctly. CFC have signed Kendry Paez of Independiente del Valle for €20million – which is about £17.27m – according to Sky Sports. The teenager doesn’t even turn 18 years old for another two years either. Nevertheless the versatility of playing very well on the wing or in the middle has attracted Chels‘ even at the tender age of 16.

Paez holds two notable accolades of distinction in the Ecuadorian first division: youngest debutant and goalscorer. He also dazzled for Ecuador at the Under-20 World Cup with one goal and three assists in the tournament. He is described as one of the ‘brightest and most creative young talents around‘. The previously mentioned outlet also maintain that, in spite of high and unsuccessful spending over the recent windows, this transfer spell will be another busy one in west London.
