Ajax youngster on Blues radar, Blues could sign 103-goals striker for just E25m, as agent confirms €50million player exit
Chelsea have received a transfer boost with Torino prepared to part ways with Andrea Belotti for €25m this summer.
The Italian has netted 103 goals in 219 appearances for the Serie A outfit, and that includes 11 from 27 outings this season.
According to Torino Granata, the Blues are long-term admirers of Belotti, and could make a formal approach to sign him.
Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland has been regularly linked with the Blues, but he could cost over €130m this summer.
Belotti is reportedly the low-cost alternative for the west London club, and Torino are prepared to accept just €25m for his sale.
In the past, Torino have been reluctant to consider any offers less than the €100m release clause in the striker’s contract.
However, they are no longer in a strong position to negotiate with Belotti’s contract expiring in less than 15 months’ time.
Belotti has also been linked with the likes of Juventus and AC Milan in the past, and there could be competition for his services.
Chelsea plan second transfer raid on Ajax for €35m youngster
The last time Chelsea launched a transfer raid on the Dutch club, it did not work out all that well.
That star, in Hakim Ziyech, is still there, and the Morocco attacker hasn’t managed to break through at the club under either Frank Lampard or Thomas Tuchel in spite of boasting a £36m price tag.
There have been calls for Hakim to be moved on, since the German head coach cannot seem to work him into his plans, but that does not mean Chelsea will not be returning to Ajax in the near future.
The Blues are named by La Gazzetta dello Sport as one of three Premier League clubs reportedly pursuing Ryan Gravenberch.
The 18-year-old midfielder needs little to no introduction at this point, as he is one of the key players for the Dutch club in spite of his young age, and already has three Netherlands caps to his name.
Perhaps wanting a bit more depth in the middle of the pitch, Chelsea appear to have targeted Ryan, although he would be costly.
Gazzetta value him at around €35 million these days, but they have the player under contract until 2023 and may demand more than that for one of their bigger talents to come through in the latest years.
According to Jorginho’s agent, Chelsea are willing to sell the Italian international for €50million this summer.
Jorginho dropped down the pecking order under former boss Frank Lampard but has become a key player under Thomas Tuchel.
Jorginho has two years left on his current contract but this week he spoke of his desire to one day return to Napoli.
Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, expects Chelsea to offer Jorginho a new contract but claims the Blues are willing to sell the 29 year old for €50million.
Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss: “Jorginho would like to come back to Italy, and there is the desire to play in Serie A.
“If Napoli should need Jorginho, then it could happen. He still has two years left on his contract at Chelsea. As things stand today, his price-tag is €50m and he has quite high wages in London. It’s unlikely that (Napoli President Aurelio) De Laurentiis would spend so much.
“Besides, in my view, Marina Granovskaia and Chelsea will offer him a contract renewal over the next few months.”
