Before the international break in November, Chelsea were flying high and playing perfect football as Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic formed a massive partnership in a double pivot role in the Chelsea midfield.
The truth / stat speaks for itself. I think it's more than mere coincidence. Lampard please bench Kante.

Prior to the final break of 2019, Chelsea’s form was so good that the Blues were being touted as potential Premier League title challengers alongside Liverpool and Manchester City.
Fast forward seven weeks and Chelsea have suffered defeat in five of their last nine Premier League outings – a far cry from the team’s previous form.
It seems that the return of N’Golo Kante has coincided with Chelsea’s drop in form and Lampard doesn’t yet know how to get his midfield clicking again. While Kante hasn’t been playing badly, it just seems that Lampard doesn’t know how to utilise the World Cup winner along with Kovacic, Jorginho and Mason Mount. Some Chelsea fans now think that Kante is the problem in that midfield.
Totally. Man still makes 10+ tackles in a so called bad game

Meanwhile, some fans have come to Kante’s defence, claiming that he’s very important to the team.
