Chelsea and Netherlands international, Marco Van Ginkel is back at Stamford Bridge with deliberations over his future. The 27-year-old was seen practicing in the Stadium, as per a video he uploaded on Instagram.
Chelsea has seen some inconsistent players, but Van Ginkel stands out to be the one sliding into oblivion. Harsh it may sound, the Dutchman signed for Chelsea back in 2013. His total appearances after 7 years at Stamford Bridge is, well four.
The last time he played for the Blues, David Moyes as Manchester United’s Manager, Wenger bossed Arsenal and their current coach played for Chelsea – yes, its that old, 24th September 2013 to be exact.
Since then, injuries, especially the cruciate ligament injury and faltering form saw him leave Chelsea with spells at Stoke City, AC Milan and Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. His last appearance was almost 2 years ago at Eindhoven in March 2018.
