Chelsea have held talks with the agent of Barcelona attacker ahead of potential move to Stamford Bridge

Chelsea will soon learn if we can sign players in January, with the Court of Arbitration for Sport preparing to announce the result of their FIFA transfer embargo appeal.

The Blues have already started working on potential signings for the January and also summer transfer windows.

According to reports, Chelsea have held talks with the agent of Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele ahead of the player completing a potential summer transfer.

This is according to Spanish media outlet El Desmarque. The report also claims that Premier League rivals Manchester City have also held talks with the agent of Dembele.

Dembele, 22, has failed to impress since completing a £112m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and Barcelona are reportedly open to letting the Frenchman leave Camp Nou next summer. Dembele has struggled with injuries since making the move to Barcelona and his commitment has also been questioned.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has reportedly lost patience with Dembele and is happy to let the attacker leave the Spanish club. Barcelona reportedly value Dembele at around £80 million.

It seems the Blues are working hard to sign a replacement for Pedro who is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, with the Blues being linked with several attacking players including Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace and Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund.
