Chelsea linked with £60m move for Bayern Munich defender as Frank Lampard looks to fix left back position

The blues opponents for the knockout stages of the Champions League are Bayern Munich, and now ironically, Frank Lampard’s team are looking to sign one of their key players this month.

Chelsea are looking forward to strengthen there left-back position, after some poor recent form from Emerson and Alonso.

However, the two Chelsea’s left-back have been link to European giants inter Milan and are keen to sign any of the Chelsea’s left-back.

According to a report via The Daily Mirror, Chelsea are ‘keen to seal a deal’ for Bayern’s left back David Alaba, if a deal can be struck.

27-year old Alaba has been at the club since youth level and is a massive player for them, making it very hard to believe that any move will happen here.

But the report touches on the fact that he now has less than 18 months remaining on his current contract and could see this stage of his career as trying something new in the Premier League.

But as the title says, this is a very ambitious move if Chelsea do try and make it happen, even though his experience and quality would be massively welcomed in a current problem position.
