The midfielder has had a great first half of the season on loan at Charlton, but the Addicks’ struggles have tempted Chelsea to move him on loan elsewhere.
This morning footage was doing the rounds showing him back training with Chelsea, by the afternoon Charlton had announced it, and now, just after 6pm, word is out that he’s joining Swansea. Football.London reported the update this afternoon.
Sam Wallace of the Telegraph also picked up on the move. It will hopefully be a done deal within 24 hours, allowing the midfielder the chance to train and play as soon as possible with his new team.
There he will be playing in a team pushing for promotion, and one managed by a former England youth coach too.
He joins his academy colleague Marc Guehi in South Wales, where Chelsea hope he will flourish even more.
