GOOD NEWS: Barcelona no longer interested in signing Chelsea transfer target

The Spain international has expressed his desire to move away from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb as he recently admitted that he feels his time with Dinamo has come to an end as he wishes to take the next step in his career. Meanwhile, Barcelona who are one of Chelsea’s competitors to sign the 21-year-old are believed to have pulled a plug on the deal.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo had previously reported that Barcelona had made an official offer for Olmo, but the outlet are now claiming that the Catalan giants no longer consider him to be a target for the January transfer window. Meanwhile, Olmo has admitted that he’s open to a move away from Dinamo even this January.

“I am at the best of in short career and I feel great,” Olmo said in an interview with L’Esportiu.

“Maybe the ideal time to leave the Dinamo would have been last summer, but no offers came.”

Asked if he would prefer to leave in the January transfer window or wait until the end of the season, Olmo replied: “I don’t know, it’s a matter of my representatives.

“But if there is an understanding between the clubs, I think the best thing for everyone is to leave Zagreb now.”

He added: “I want to take a step forward. And not only to go to the Euro, but also to keep improving. It’s not that I’m being offered, it’s just that I’m ready to take a step forward in my career.”
