Chelsea new boy Hakim Ziyech reacts to his transfer to Chelsea

Chelsea and Ajax have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hakim Ziyech and the attacking midfielder will arrive at Stamford Bridge in the summer for an initial £33.4m

It’s official. Hakim Ziyech will join Chelsea when the summer transfer window opens.

News of this deal was confirmed via Ajax and the Blues on Thursday afternoon – roughly 24 hours after the Dutch media revealed that an agreement between the two clubs had been reached. A statement via the Eredivisie outfit’s official website reads: “Ajax and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Hakim Ziyech.

“The player will join the Premier League club on July 1st 2020 and will finish the season in Amsterdam. “The clubs have agreed a deal of € 40 million euros. “This sum could potentially increase to a maximum of € 44 million, with variable factors.”

“Chelsea Football Club has reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Hakim Ziyech this summer,” a statement reads on Chelseafc.com. “The move is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and he will remain at the Dutch club for the rest of this season.”

Taking to social media after the transfer was confirmed, Ziyech uploaded an image of the transfer announcement used by the Ajax on to his Instagram stories.
