Chelsea news LIVE updates: All the latest news and gossip from Stamford Bridge
Willian latest: Chelsea star Willian is set to be reunited with Jose Mourinho in the summer as the Brazilian has agreed to join Tottenham when his current contract expires, according to reports. The 31-year-old had been in talks with Chelsea over signing a contract extension, but negotiations between the two parties stalled after they failed to agree on terms. Willian is seeking a three-year deal, however, Chelsea were only willing to offer him a two-year extension.
Speaking on the Keys & Gray show on beIN Sports, former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys said: “He’s (Willian) another one that has already spoken to Jose Mourinho, he’s on his way to Tottenham.”
Victor Moses return: Inter Milan will not pay the full asking price for Chelsea defender Victor Moses. Moses, 29, joined Antonio Conte’s side on a six-month loan deal that includes an option to buy for £13million. The Nigeria international has made seven appearances for Inter Milan, providing one assist during a 4-2 victory against rivals AC Milan. Calciomercato claim Conte wants to sign Moses on a permanent basis, but that will require a significant discount and it’s not clear whether Chelsea will sanction the reduction.
Robin Gosens targeted: Chelsea are considering a move for Atalanta defender Robin Gosens. The Blues are eager to resolve the club’s ‘problem position’ at left-back with manager Frank Lampard seemingly unsatisfied with both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri. Chelsea have been linked with Leicester star Ben Chilwell and Porto full-back Alex Telles to fill the position but 25-year-old Gosens has emerged as an option, claim 90min.
Inter and Lyon are also interested in Gosens, who has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 30 appearances and is valued at £26million.
Timo Werner talks: Manchester United and Chelsea are both looking to hijack Liverpool’s bid to bring RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner to Anfield. The Red Devils and Blues have both opened talks with the player’s agent as the Reds hold off on making a formal bid.
Werner, 24, has a £52million release clause in his contract and Liverpool want to assess the financial impact the suspension of football will have on the next transfer window before submitting a formal bid. However, according to German publication Bild, United and Chelsea are looking to capitalise on Liverpool decision and have opened talks with Werner’s representatives.
Football london claim Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia is the driving force behind the Blues’ interest.
