According to Daily Mirror, Chelsea have open talks with Real Madrid player Achraf Hakimi.
The 21 year old, who can play on either side of the defence but is usually deployed at right-back, has impressed while on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea have contacted Real Madrid about signing the 21 year old as his loan deal at Borussia Dortmund does not contain an option to buy.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard sees the 21-year-old as an excellent option to bolster his defensive resources.
The report claims Real Madrid told Chelsea that no decisions will be made until this season finally reaches its conclusion. Real’s initial plan was to include Hakimi in the first-team squad next season but the final call on that will be left with coach Zinedine Zidane.
Hakimi has made 17 appearances for Real and featured in their Champions League winning campaign in 2017-18. He joined Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan deal in the summer of 2018.
