Chelsea planning shock move for €60m-rated UCL winning attacker

The blues could reportedly be given a chance to seal the transfer of Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale in a shock swap deal. After La Liga giants are interested in making a move for Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount after his hugely impressive recent rise.

Mason shone on loan at Derby County last campaign and has continued to look a huge talent after being given an opportunity in Frank Lampard’s first-team at London club this campaign.

Still, it’s early days for Mount, and it’s a shock to see a club like Real Madrid in for him given that they usually favour more established big-name signings.

Spanish giants could even be willing to sacrifice one of their Galacticos in this deal, with Wales international on offer to London club in return. It stays to be seen if the Blues would accept such a proposal, with Gareth surely now past his best at the highest level.

Mason Mount, by contrast, could be a great footballer for the London club to build around for the next few years, so they won’t want to let him go now and risk seeing him hit world-class form for a Champions League rival.

The 30-year-old winger played just 11 matches, scored two goals and provided two assists in all competitions.

Still, Blues are one of the clubs showing the strongest interest in Bale at the moment, and the former Tottenham man could make sense as a replacement for Eden Hazard. Real Madrid signed Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt, Rodrygo Goes from Santos, Ferland Mendy from Lyon, Eder Militao from Porto and Alphonse Areola from PSG.
