According to Sky Sports, Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud desperately reported he wants to stay in London and open up to move to Tottenham Hotspur before Friday deadline.
However, The 33 year old striker was close to joining Inter Milan but the Italian club are reportedly considering pulling out of the deal as they are concerned their squad will be too big following the arrival of Christian Eriksen.
Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for a striker due to a long-term injury to Harry Kane and are interested in signing Giroud.
Tottenham have held talks to sign AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piatek and Real Sociedad’s Willian Jose so far this month but have been unable to agree a deal for either player.
Giroud is keen on leaving Chelsea this January after making just seven appearances for Chelsea this season in all competitions.
